Re: Nuno Sacked !
There is only one Antonio and he is our number 9

Annoyed spurs will steal our Antonio song though - like Chelsea did.

Course they will nick our song , just like they do every other song they got , they have not got one original song , even the glory, glory one is shared with Man Utd anything outside of the chaz n Dave singalong album or Oh my papa , has been copied !

It's a great appointment for them. Conte is currently one of the worlds best coaches. No doubt they will rapidly improve results as he will make them hard to beat. His main objective is to get a tune from Kane again. But something tells me Conte is the type of man that likes to be the daddy and so he may even get rid of Kane.

I just hope for whatever reason it doesn't work out and they win fuck all as usual. The cunts.

Sadly I think you're right Leroys :-(

Got to hope Levy reneges on the transfer fund agreement or players revolt or something or that 18 months is just not enough time to turn them around since unlike Chelsea, Juve etc. they now have a relatively inferior squad compared to the rich 4 and perhaps even other teams.

Alli, Sanchez, Dier, Winks and a few others likely to be looking for new clubs very soon. Also got to hope Kane still sulking for a while longer or simply that time starts to catch up with him and he cannot regain his peak form ever again.

It's all going to pan out for Conte, you can just feel it

They fluke a pen win against us after a defensive masterclass from them in the Carabao after we batter them

They end up playing Sunderland in the final and win it, cue Conte is the Messiah. It's fucking obvious, cunts

Conte doesn't seem to hang around long. Also seems to have issues getting on with certain players and club officials. Can't see it working long term but he might get something out of a few of them in the short term and will no doubt spend a ton of cash. I'd want Spurs to pay back the tax payer the money they borrowed first though.

Re: Nuno Sacked !
None of us really know but Conte's record suggests there will definitely be improvement even if he doesn't bring anyone in. Lets hope its only short term and that for once he has picked a club that he cannot get a tune out of.

Kane is key to all this and may continue to undermine. The hope is that there will be no interest in the Jan window and he will have to hang around stinking the place out. He may not play under Conte but then they will be looking to find a player that can score 20 goals + a season in the Premiership.

I fail to see the love in our league for Unai Emery, he was dreadful at Arsenal.

Not sure he can save Newcastle.

Conte will bankrupt Spurs, they will improve but at what cost?

Re: Nuno Sacked !
I think top managers come in different categories and can rely on having good staff around them. Ferguson' you can't argue with what he won at Aberdeen and then eventually turned a struggling Man United around. Clough took un fancied Derby and Forest too the top but failed at Leeds when he ironically didn't have Peter Taylor with him. Ron Greenwood was known as a fantastic coach and had good success for a couple of years but fell well short of the mark in the League.

I don't think Conte will do well at Spurs as he just doesn't look a good fit. It's like when they went for George Graham.

Thanks Cough.

Thats why I said he took over a leicester team that had recently won the league.

Ranieri was manager when Leicester won the league

Re: Nuno Sacked !
You can count Brendan Rogers in the underrated category too.

Underrated by who?

He's had one of the biggest club jobs in Europe
The biggest job in Scotland
Then a Leicester side which had recently won the league

Suspect Mancini would want to take Italy to the World Cup next year and then would be looking
I am just hoping someone takes Roberto Martinez then too after he has overseen another underwhelming Belgian performance.

Have always said that if someone picks a manager and then sacks them after 10 league games they should consider THEIR position.
Or at least pay the compensation themselves.

Re: Nuno Sacked !
Personally I’m just happy they didn’t get Mancini. One of the most underrated managers around. If Man U had any sense they’d go all in for Mancini.

You can count Brendan Rogers in the underrated category too.

Bit like Pellegrini at west ham vs at man city?
Although I thought we backed him fairly decently enough, he still fucked it up pretty badly.

Re: Nuno Sacked !
See this is where I think top football managers are rated like F1 drivers.....if you are in the top team with the best of everything after a while it's a bit of a cheek them being called 'top' anything as they have the best of everything to achieve great things.....whereas if they got a club like West Ham winning things without the previous funding THEN they are a top manager surely?

Re: Nuno Sacked !
Top manager, don't think he'll be a good fit for that mob though. Just don't see them spending the hundreds of millions he'll demand / need to sort them out.

Would expect an uplift in results for them in the short term and mass wanking from the press. Their fans will be bigger cunts than usual for a bit, but fully expect it will all end in tears in a typically Spursy way. Some things just never change.

Re: Nuno Sacked !
If we keep up our form we'll still be above Spurs & stool in Europe come the Jan window. So seeing as we'll have new investment and they have debts of 1bn, we shouldn't need to worry about them being interested in the same players or players choosing them over us.

Levy reckons he would have given Nuno more time but the fans turned on him during the Man U game.
So the manager gets 45 mins of grief and is sacked.
If every club behaved this way, the majority of managers wouldn't last a season.

Any Old Iron 4:20 Tue Nov 2
Re: Nuno Sacked !
There's only one thing Levy's good at, and that's spending the clubs money.

£20 million for for just over one and a half seasons for Conte. And he's just written a severance cheque of £14 mill for Nuno.

And this follows on from paying off the Portugese poseur the thick end of £20 mill.

How does he keep his job?

Just hope it all ends in tears for the entitled filth.
